Terms of Use

How the app is used, that it ships free, and the community rules.
Effective: 13 October 2026

What PUELO is

PUELO (also listed in stores and in the app as PROX by Puelo.app) is a digital network for work and services. It helps you show what you do, find who can help you, and build trust with other people in the community. PUELO is not a bank, not a lender, and not your employer. The agreement for each job is closed between the people involved.

The app is available today in Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. We may add or limit countries later and will say so in the app or on this site.

PROX is a technology intermediary

PROX provides a tool so people can find each other, show their work and make contact. It does not hire or offer trades, is not a party to each service agreement, does not set the price, does not collect or hold payment between users, and does not guarantee anyone’s identity, skill or behaviour.

Contact (WhatsApp, a call or another channel you enable) and payment for the job happen outside PROX, between the people involved. A receipt in the app is a record between the people who issued it: it is not a money transfer made by PROX and not a payment guarantee.

Ratings, recommendations, photos and texts are published by users. PROX displays them. It does not verify each one and does not turn them into an official certificate.

The app ships at no cost

We publish the app on Google Play and the App Store with no download fee. Using the main features — creating an account, building a profile, searching, showing your work and making contact — has no charge today.

Running the platform has a cost. Later we may add optional paid features, plans or commissions on new services. If that happens, we will tell you clearly and in advance in the app and, where required, in the stores. We will not charge you by surprise. You may accept the new terms, keep using whatever remains free, or stop using PUELO. Leaving has no exit fee at this stage.

Any future charge will follow the consumer-protection rules of the country where you use the service and the rules of Google Play and the App Store. If there is an in-app purchase, it will be processed by the relevant store.

What we ask of you

  • Be 18 or older. PUELO is not directed at children.
  • Give true information in your profile and in any validation.
  • Use the app only for lawful, real services. Using it to defraud, impersonate, launder money, exploit a person, offer or request anything illegal, or commit any other offence is prohibited.
  • Follow these terms, the Community standards and the child-safety policy.
  • Understand that recommendations, trust badges and what appears on your profile are signals in this network, not a guarantee of work or income.

Accounts, content and stores

You may stop using PUELO and request account deletion at any time by writing to infoprox@puelo.app or through in-app options when available.

If you breach these terms, the community standards, the child-safety policy or the law, we may limit features, hide content, hide the profile or close the account. Serious cases (fraud, false identity, abuse or prohibited content) may lead to immediate closure.

Google LLC and Apple Inc. are not parties to this agreement. Download and use are also subject to the Google Play and App Store terms that apply to you.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on your devices. PUELO software, brand and materials remain with Puelo.app or its licensors. Content you upload may be withdrawn by you; you give us permission to display it on the network while your account is active, in order to operate the service.

Ratings and how profiles are ordered

PROX orders and shows profiles of people offering a service based on the ratings and recommendations left by people who used that service. That information belongs to the community: PROX displays it as the person who rated left it.

PROX does not have, and does not offer, the ability to change, delete or adjust a rating or a recommendation at the request of the person who received it. It does not intervene to “improve” a profile, reorder results or alter what the community left, except where the law requires it (for example, illegal content) or a review for platform abuse under the Community standards.

PROX is not responsible for later changes in a provider’s behaviour, quality or way of working after earlier ratings. A previous recommendation does not guarantee how the next service will be delivered. Each person decides whether to hire based on the information visible at that moment.

What we do not promise

PUELO does not guarantee clients, income or any result. It is not a party to each service contract, except where the law requires it or a specific app feature says so clearly (for example, a receipt between two people).

PROX does not endorse or recommend any particular user. Showing a profile, a badge or a rating does not mean PROX guarantees that person or the service they may later provide.

Unlawful use, reports and authorities

If you use the app to commit or facilitate an offence, you are solely responsible. PROX is not a party to that act. We may suspend or close the account immediately, remove the content and keep the records the law allows or requires.

If you have a concrete indication of fraud, false identity, abuse or illegal content, write to infoprox@puelo.app with the subject “Unlawful use report” and identify the profile or the facts. We review credible notices and act reasonably: hide the profile, ask for more information or close the account. You may also report to the authority of your country.

When a competent authority requires it under the law of Argentina, Chile or Uruguay, or of another country where you use the service, we may provide the corresponding information and preserve evidence. We do not notify the user when the law or the investigation prevents it.

Each person is responsible for the agreement they close with another and for the harm they cause. PROX is not liable for a user’s breach, deception or offence, to the extent the law of your country allows. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights or liability the law imposes on a mandatory basis.

Changes

If we change these terms, we publish them in the app and at puelo.app/en/legal.html with an effective date. Changes that affect price or free access will be announced with the notice required by applicable consumer law. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the change, unless the law of your country says otherwise.

Governing law

These terms are read consistently with the consumer-protection and other mandatory laws of the country where you use the service. For consumer disputes, the courts or mechanisms assigned by that law to the user’s domicile have jurisdiction. Nothing here limits non-waivable rights that the law of your country grants you.

Privacy & identity

What data we use, what the community can see, and how to exercise your rights.
Effective: 13 October 2026

Framework

We process your personal information under the data-protection laws that apply in the country where you use PUELO. That includes, where relevant, the rules of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, and any other law that is mandatory. We collect what is needed to run the app, confirm you are a real person, sustain a trust network and provide PUELO ecosystem features.

Controller: Puelo.app. Contact: infoprox@puelo.app.

Why we ask for data

  • Create and maintain your account, authenticate you and let you recover access.
  • Show your professional profile to people looking for a service (name, trade, work area, the photo you choose, jobs you publish, trust badges and recommendations).
  • Validate that your identity is real, to protect the community from fake profiles and to support trust badges.
  • Let others contact you through the channels you enable and record that the contact happened.
  • Show receipts and messages between you and another person in the network.
  • Improve quality, security and abuse prevention, and develop ecosystem features.
  • Meet legal duties or requests from a competent authority.
  • Handle safety reports, including child protection.

Identity validation

We may ask for an identity document, document photos and an address to confirm that the profile belongs to a real person. That sensitive information has restricted access. It is not published on the card or listed in search.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not publish your ID, document photos or exact address in the community or on your visible profile.

Technical providers and stores

We use technology infrastructure (hosting, authentication, photo storage, basic crash analytics if enabled) and Google Play / App Store services to publish the app. Those providers process data as processors or under their own policies when you interact with the store. Where the law requires it, that relationship is documented.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, updating, erasure, objection or restriction, and exercise the other rights recognized by the law of your country. Write to infoprox@puelo.app with the subject “Personal data”. You may also contact the data-protection authority of your country.

If you ask to close your account, we stop showing your profile in the community. We may keep the minimum strictly required if a law or an ongoing claim requires it, and only for as long as necessary.

Retention, security and children

We keep data while your account is active and for any extra time a legal obligation imposes. We apply reasonable restricted-access measures, especially for identity documents and exact addresses.

PUELO is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we find an account belonging to a minor, we close it.

Community standards

How we treat each other so the trust network works.
Effective: 13 October 2026

The foundation

Before it is a tool, PUELO is a work network. Technology alone does not create good service — trust between people does. These standards are a condition for being in the community.

What we expect from everyone

  • Keep what was agreed: schedule, scope of work and payment terms you discussed.
  • Speak with respect in messages, calls and meetings arranged through the app.
  • Leave honest recommendations based on a real service.
  • Use true data. Identity validation is not fabricated or lent.
  • Do not use the network to defraud, impersonate someone, ask for money up front without a service, or offer anything illegal.
  • No harassment, no discrimination, no pressure, no publishing of third parties’ private data.
  • If something goes wrong, say so in time.

How trust is built

Community trust is built from facts in this network: a complete profile, validated identity, published services, recommendations from people who actually worked with you, and the way you treat others. That shows up in badges and in how other people find you. Your behaviour shapes your opportunities.

What is not tolerated

Serious or repeated failure to keep agreements, fraud in validations, false recommendations, harassment, impersonated profiles, any sexual content involving minors and any degrading treatment may lead us to limit your visibility, remove badges or exclude the account. In serious cases, exclusion may be permanent.

Disputes between people

If there is a disagreement about a job, it should first be resolved between the people who agreed it. PUELO may help organize the conversation or review platform abuse. It does not replace an expert, the courts or mandatory mediation, unless a specific feature says so.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation

Zero-tolerance policy. Required to publish on Google Play and the App Store.
Effective: 13 October 2026

PUELO has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, including any child sexual abuse material (real, drawn or AI-generated) and any attempt to groom or contact a minor inappropriately.

  • The app is only for people aged 18 or over.
  • Creating, uploading, storing, sending or requesting that kind of content is prohibited.
  • Using the app to contact, harass or exploit a minor is prohibited.

If you see or suspect something, write to infoprox@puelo.app with the subject “Child safety report”. You may also use Google Play or App Store reporting channels.

If we find a credible case we may remove the content, suspend or close the account and, where the law requires it or the case warrants it, notify competent authorities.

Documents published for the app and the stores (effective 13 Oct 2026). They describe the current use of PUELO as a services network. They are not an external legal opinion. Spanish version: /legales.html.
